AI voice agents and receptionists for small businesses

Every missed call is a customer deciding to try the next number on the list. We build voice agents that answer, qualify and book — and we will tell you honestly if a simple callback text would do the job instead.

The reality

A missed call is not a missed call. It is a booked job at a competitor.

  • The phone rings while you are with a customer, on a roof, or driving. It goes to voicemail. They do not leave one.
  • Evenings and weekends are when people actually ring, and that is exactly when nobody is there.
  • You spend the first two minutes of every call asking the same four questions.
  • Half the calls that do get answered aren't a fit, and you cannot tell which until you have spent ten minutes.
  • An answering service costs more each month than it books, and reads from a script that sounds like it.
  • You have thought about hiring, but the volume does not justify a salary yet.
What we build

Not a package. A system that fits.

Answering, around the clock

A voice agent that picks up on the first ring at 2pm or 2am, speaks like your business rather than a phone tree, and never leaves a caller listening to hold music.

Qualification

It asks the four questions you always ask — what, where, when, budget — and passes a caller through only when the answers make them worth your time.

Booking into your calendar

Live availability, an appointment made during the call, and confirmation plus reminders sent automatically. No callback needed to arrange the callback.

Missed-call text-back

The simplest version of this, and often the highest-return: any call you miss triggers an immediate text that keeps the conversation open while the caller is still deciding.

Summaries and handover

Every call arrives as a short written summary with a recording and the caller’s details, dropped straight into your CRM or inbox rather than sitting in a portal you never open.

More than one language

Where your customers need it. We have built multilingual voice work before, including Arabic, and can tell you quickly whether it is worth it for your market.

How it works

We don't guess. We diagnose.

  1. Step 1

    Free strategy call

Thirty minutes, no obligation. We map how your business actually runs — the tools, the handoffs, the bits held together by memory — and agree what is worth doing.

  2. Step 2

    Diagnose and plan

We work out what you actually need, which is not always what you came asking for. You get a written scope with a fixed price before anything is built.

  3. Step 3

    Build and integrate

We build it and connect it to what you already use. You stay involved at the decision points without being buried in the detail.

  4. Step 4

    Go live, train, support

We train whoever needs training, watch the first live week closely, and stay reachable afterwards. We do not build and disappear.

What it costs

Voice agents start at £1,200 for an agent that answers, handles your common questions and books into your calendar. It goes up from there with how much the agent has to handle — qualification logic, multiple call outcomes, writing back into your CRM. On top of the build there are per-minute call costs from the underlying provider, which we show you at cost rather than marking up. You get a fixed figure after the free call, most agents are live in 2–4 weeks, and ongoing support is optional from £199/month.

Straight answers

Questions? We have answers.

How much does an AI receptionist cost per month?

The build is a one-off starting at £1,200; after that your monthly cost is mostly call minutes, which we pass through at provider cost rather than marking up. For a business taking a few hundred calls a month that usually lands well under what a part-time receptionist or a traditional answering service charges — and unlike both, it does not stop at 5pm. We will work out the actual number for your call volume on the strategy call.

Can AI really answer my business phone without annoying customers?

For booking, qualifying and answering routine questions, yes — current voice models handle interruptions and accents well enough that most callers do not clock it. For complaints, negotiation, or anything emotionally loaded, no, and we would not build it that way. We set the agent to hand over to a human the moment a call goes outside what it should be handling.

What happens if it cannot answer something?

It hands over. Depending on the hour that is a transfer to you, a callback booked into your calendar, or a summary sent straight to whoever should pick it up. The failure mode is a warm handover, never a caller stuck in a loop.

Do I actually need a voice agent?

Often not. If you are missing a handful of calls a week, a missed-call text-back costs a fraction of a full voice agent and recovers most of the same revenue. We would rather build you the smaller thing that works than the larger thing that impresses. This is the kind of question the strategy call exists to answer honestly.

Will it sound like a robot reading a script?

Not if it is built properly. We write the agent around how your business actually talks, test it against real call recordings, and tune it before it takes a single live call. You sign off on how it sounds before it goes anywhere near a customer.

One partner

Most clients need a combination.

These are three expressions of the same partnership, not three products. We work out the mix on the call.
